Refund and Returns Policy

Overview

Thank you for shopping with Creative Ideas Studio. We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not happy with your item, you may return it under the conditions described below.

What Items Can Be Returned

  • Wooden toys, furniture, restoration pieces, custom furniture—they may be eligible for return if all return conditions are met (see below).
  • To be eligible for a return, items must be unused, in the same condition as when received, and — if applicable — in their original packaging (including any tags, protective wrap, etc.).
  • Proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation) is required.

Return Timeframe

  • Returns must be initiated within 15 days of receipt of the item. Returns requested after this 15-day period may not be accepted.

Non-returnable Items / Exceptions

Because of the nature of some goods we offer, the following items are not eligible for return under a change-of-mind policy:

  • Items that are sold as final sale (e.g. clearance, custom/finalised furniture, bespoke restorations)
  • Items that have been used, damaged (beyond what was delivered), or modified by the customer
  • Items returned without their original packaging or missing components

If an item is defective, damaged during shipping, or not as described, please see section “Defective or Damaged Items” below.

How to Return an Item

  1. Email us at sales@creativeideasstudio.co.za within 30 days of receipt to request a return. Include your order number and reason for return.
  2. Once approved, ship the item back to us at the address provided with the return request.
    • We recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance for high-value items.
    • You are responsible for paying the return shipping cost (unless the return is due to our error — see below).
  3. Keep your shipping proof/receipt until the return is completed.

Refunds & Credits

  • Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will email you to confirm receipt and inform you whether your refund is approved.
  • If approved, refund will be issued to the original payment method (credit card, EFT, etc.) within a few business days.
  • Return shipping costs are non-refundable (unless the return is due to our error).
  • Sale items or custom/final-sale items are not eligible for refund unless faulty or damaged on arrival.
  • If the return is due to a defect or error on our part, we will refund the full purchase price, including original shipping (if any).

Exchanges / Replacements

  • We only replace items if they are defective or damaged, or if we’ve made an error.
  • If you need to exchange such an item for the same product, email us at sales@creativeideasstudio.co.za with your order number and a description of the problem.
  • Once confirmed, ship the item back to us, and once we inspect it — we will dispatch a replacement.

Defective, Damaged or Incorrect Items

  • If you received a damaged, defective or incorrect item, contact us immediately on receipt, at sales@creativeideasstudio.co.za with photos of the damage/issue, your order number, and a description.
  • We will inspect the return upon arrival and — if confirmed — refund the full purchase amount and original shipping cost (if applicable), or replace the item (where possible), at no extra cost to you.

Gifts

  • If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you: we will issue a gift credit for the value of the returned item.
  • If the gift was shipped to the purchaser (not directly to you), the refund will be issued to the original purchaser.
